Mike Sherman

Mike Sherman has spent over 25 years backing founders and helping them navigate growth. Throughout his career his focus has been helping to scale ambitious, world-changing companies, as a venture capitalist, CEO, COO and private equity investor. His experience combines real operational insight, investor perspective, and a hands-on approach. Notable investments include GaN Systems, D-Wave, General Fusion, Kindred AI, 1Qbit, and Epyon.

In 2024 he authored the Catalyzing Carbon Removal at Scale report in partnership with NorthX and Rethink Climate, leading to the co-founding of Skyward Wildfire in 2024.

He currently leads Second Growth Capital, a PE firm based in Vancouver, BC.
